Freedom always entails responsibility!
It is the old question, whether the people can be trusted or not.
The answer is the right order of relationships.
Since we are created beings, we have to fit into the order that God set up.
Finally it all comes down to the question, whether God exists or not.
If He doesn't exist, then anything goes...
But if He exists, we should be busy trying to find out, who He is, and what He expects from us. And once we find out, we should try to fit into the order that He had set up.
Can there be any other option? Let's hope then that God is a nice God. ;-) But, since we are nice people and in His image, we don't have to worry, right?!
