The main reason for all of today's turmoils is Christianity (as God's prepared foundation) not accepting the Rev. Sun Myung Moon as the Lord of the Second Advent. Christianity swayed from Jesus's teachings and forgot that it's not only love that saves us, but also TRUTH that sets us free! God's order and principles are absolutely needed!
This is not a first in history. How long did God prepare the Jewish people? Only for them also not getting the message and crucifying the Lord at his first Advent. History also shows us, what was then the fate of the Israelites...
Anyway, finally, the old man will have to take responsibility for it all.
