Some smart thoughts on S. Africa by a friend:

Here's an interesting thought.
The SJW (social justice warriors, in this case marxists), want to remove the "white" conquerors from the white farms and return it to the indigenous original owners. Possibly political cronies. This worked so well in Zimbabwe.

One of the main tribes at that time were the Zulus. The european conquered the Zulus (as an example, there were others).
But the Zulu conquered the Ndwande for the land...
who conquered the Mthethwa Empire...
who conquered the Pedi tribe... and so on.
So the descendants of which conqueror are they returning the land to?
So the call is to remove the land from the conquerors to return it to other conquerors. I would guess it is really to return it to the government to divvy up how they please.

Here's another thought. Some (or probably most) of the land has mortgages on it. How many of the generous white farmers are going to continue to pay their mortgages on their farms after their farms as taken away?

How can the banks survive after massive default on these mortgages?

How many of the political cronies who will receive land actually know anything about farming?

Is South Africa the most corrupt government in the world, or just one of the most corrupt? Can we expect fair and transparent transfer of land?
